# Memory MCP Server

This repository contains a standalone MCP server built with `fastmcp` and a small async client for smoke testing.

## Files

- `memory_server.py` - MCP server with six memory tools.
- `memory_client.py` - async client that demonstrates remote tool calls over stdio.
- `requirements.txt` - runtime dependencies for the assignment.

## Install

```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

## Run the client demo

```bash
python memory_client.py
```

The server stores data in `memory_data.json` and includes timestamps for every saved record.
